Overview of Talent Network Features and How to Add and Manage Talent

Introduction:

The Talent Network is the core of the FMS (Freelance Management System) portion of the Publicist platform. This is where you manage your Bring Your Own (BYO) talent, track onboarding status, and add new talent from both within the platform and externally. It provides a comprehensive view of your team’s freelance talent, allowing for efficient talent management and streamlined processes.

Key Features of Talent Network:

  • All BYO Talent:

    • The Talent Network displays all BYO talent, including those manually added from the platform or invited externally.

    • You can also see candidates your team has hired and talent manually added to your network from their profile.

  • Tabs for Easy Navigation:

    • All: Shows your entire talent network.

    • On Contract: Displays all candidates who are currently on contract.

    • Pending: Lists all the pending BYO Talent invites to your talent network.

How to Use the Talent Network:

  • Accessing the Talent Network:

    • Navigate to the Talent section in your navigation menu and select Talent Network

  • Adding New Talent:

    • Invite Candidates Externally: Click Get invite link or + Add talent to invite candidates from outside the platform.

    • Add Talent from the Platform: Use the three dots on any talent profile in the marketplace or talent benches and select Add to network.

  • Tracking Onboarding Status:

    • Monitor the onboarding status of new talent with Publicist’s Employer of Record (EOR). This status can be tracked within the Talent Network, ensuring talent is ready to start work as soon as possible.

  • Viewing and Managing Talent:

    • Use the All, On Contract, and Pending tabs to filter and view specific groups of talent.

    • Customize displayed fields to show the most relevant information for your team.

  • Standard FMS Functionality:

    • Manage contracts, track time sheets, and handle compliance all within the Talent Network.

    • Maintain a centralized database of your freelance talent, ensuring all relevant information is easily accessible.

Efficiency and Usage:

  • Send Job Opportunities: Directly send job postings to talent you have a relationship with, such as those you have screened or hired previously.

  • Hire from Talent Network: Easily hire directly from your Talent Network, streamlining the hiring process.

By leveraging the Talent Network, you can efficiently manage your freelance talent, streamline your hiring processes, and maintain an organized and comprehensive overview of your team’s capabilities.
